My M.Ed at RUPP

After countless attempts of the being awarded a scholarship, I reckon I should do something different so that I won't waste my time.

Last year, despite being offered admission to M.Ed Program at RUPP, I felt I was not ready enough to take up three main responsibilities at the same time, working at ACE, a father to my second-about-to-be-born daughter, and the prospective Master's candidate.

But here I am, I've decided, and I get going!!! My second-attempt M.Ed Program starts on Saturday, November 28, 2009!!! Look forward to getting so busy!!! Can't wait :)

Our First Car--Toyota Camry 1997

We finally bought a car--Toyota Camry 1997--color of Gold. We are both happy and worried. Happy, because we've got the car. Worried, because we will be in financial difficulties in the next few months.

We are so reluctant to tell our parents. They will diffinitely be worried like we are at the moment, concerning money issues. But look, this is how we get things. To our capacity, we will never have that big amount of money to spend for the car at once, we need to buy it partly on credit. Don’t laugh, we are from a poor family background…, it’s just more than what we had expected already that we’ve reached this point.

Decided!!!

To compensate this terrible year in terms of not getting any scholarship AT ALL, we've decided to buy a car!

We've decided to live our lives the way that most of the people around us do, saving money, buying car, taking care of our little family(not so little anymore), enjoying what we've already got.

Yet, scholarship is still the never-end target!

What a Year!!!

I remember Chinese New Year. I have rare played cards in my life. For one reason, it’s not my favorite game that’s why I just can spare some time for the game. Undoubtedly, I can play it well. However, earlier this year, Chinese New Year, some friends invited me for lunch at which I was repeatedly invited to join the table, and I did. Surprisingly, I won a lot of money from the game. Really, I was the very first time in my life to win that amount of money from the game that I have no idea about, well, a bit.

Then I thought ‘what a year!’

I thought the year 2009 is my year, through the sign of having won a lot of money from the card. To make use of that good luck (that I believe I have had), I started applying for different scholarships, four of them!!!

Guess what, for the scholarships I applied, Fulbright was the only one I believe I would get, while the others were just kind of lottery—I don’t what to say about that.

Until today, as of mid September, all my hopes and dreams simply faded away. For the whole year, what I have hoped for became nothing, nothing at all.

I thought I've gone through the worst interview in my life. I got lost in the middle of the questions because I was shocked by the contents the were looking for. I gave me a hard time, challenged me to death and let me realize the weak points that I have.

I was finally able to bring Chenda to visit another country! and it was Australia!!!

Family Matters

Kids are sick, financial problems even bring us down to the ground. We wish this moment vanishes as quick as possible.

Fighting for a scholarship is that easy!!!

I've just realized that I could not use my Japanese at all when it comes to the time that I need it. I was completely fool.

However, I thought I've done my best with the English test. It was not difficult, but very tricky!!! I'm glad that I could finish all the answer just before time.

I just can't simply wait for the result to be out tomorrow evening
